Covid Vaccination Program
Rickmansworth & Chorleywood Primary Care Network which is made up of Chorleywood Health Centre, Gade Surgery and The Colne Practice started the Covid Vaccination Program last week. We are very excited to be one of the first general practices in England to provide this service to our patients.
We are contacting people who have been prioritised to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, including people over 80 years old, and people who work in care homes.
In west Hertfordshire the Covid-19 vaccines for the first priority groups are being delivered through local vaccination centres run by GPs.
The Pfizer vaccine is safe and highly effective, but it is complex to move, store and prepare. For this reason it is being carefully rolled out to designated hospital hubs and local vaccination centres that meet particular requirements.
The Vaccine site for our patients is The Colne Practice, 99A Uxbridge Rd, Rickmansworth WD3 7DJ.
Please Call 01923 287100 to book an appointment or to be added to the waiting list if all of the appointments have been taken for the first delivery of the vaccine. Please be patient as this is a complicated process and we are all working very hard to make it a success.
Please do not contact the practice if you are not 80 or over or work in a care home.
We will only move onto the next group once we have offered the vaccine to the first group.
