Dr David Turner

Dr David Turner qualified from University of Wales College of Medicine in 1996 after previously having undertaken a BSc in physiology at the University of Southampton. He qualified as a GP in 2000. He has extensive experience practising as a GP in numerous settings including: NHS practices, military bases, the private sector and in Spain. He is the practice lead on mental health and along with Dr Lakasing leads on undergraduate teaching in the practice. Dr Turner has a special interest in chronic pain management and performs joint injections. He is the practice political lead and practice representative in the Primary Care Network and also serves as a Hertfordshire representative on the Local Medical Committee. He enjoys medical journalism and has written extensively in the medical press and has a regular column in Pulse magazine. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, camping, learning languages, playing the trumpet and wild swimming.
